SEAN TAYLOR is a New York City–based writer, storyteller, improviser, host, and co-owner of the Magnet Theater, alongside his improv mentor and legendary guru Armando Diaz. After moving to NYC over 20 years ago to pursue comedy, Sean immersed himself in the improv world at Magnet Theater and the Upright Citizens Brigade, studying with artists including Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, Matt Besser, Jason Mantzoukas, and Adam Wade.

During this time, Sean created 31 Days of Pizza, a digital performance and storytelling project launched in 2002 as a personal challenge to honor National Pizza Month. Each October, he embarks on an ongoing “quest for the perfect slice,” visiting a different pizzeria every day and sharing at least one slice with at least one guest. What began as a New York City ritual has expanded across the United States—including Chicago, Austin, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Miami, Columbus, and Las Vegas—and internationally to Italy and Mexico.

Over more than two decades, 31daysofpizza.com has evolved from a comedy bit into a carefully curated archive, blending first-person storytelling and humor to document not just pizza, but the people, neighborhoods, and relationships that form around it.
